How It All Began

Four years ago, a group of women at Carroll University—Izzi Roshetko, Julie Anderson, Hannah Bohlmann, and Hannah Shady—saw a need for a Christ-centered, gospel-driven community on campus.

They were concerned by the spiritual direction of the university, where faith was being reduced to personal preference rather than a commitment to biblical truth. They longed for a place where students could grow in their faith, not based on personal feelings or spiritual self-improvement, but by focusing entirely on Jesus.

The Desire

Their desire was clear: a Bible study that prioritized knowing and cherishing Christ, holding Scripture as the highest authority, and seeking to make much of Jesus while making less of themselves.

This desire led to the formation of 3:30 Ministries, named after John 3:30—“He must increase, but I must decrease.”

Our Goal: (See More)

  • Exalt Christ above all else
  • Lead and equip others
  • Provide fellowship opportunities
  • Support, not replace, the local church

God Gives the Growth

The women’s group took off quickly, and by the following semester, they asked Connor Shady to launch a men’s version of 3:30. He gathered friends from his Bible studies at Marquette and his church’s college ministry to help lead the new group, and 3:30 Men’s Ministry was born.

Now, four years later, 3:30 Ministries has grown into a thriving, gospel-centered community where Christ is glorified through broken sinners who recognize their desperate need for a Savior.
